Be Fearless

If you don’t have some level of fear as you get started in your D.S. business, you’re not normal.  Fear is an emotion that you will need to overcome over and over again.  It’s always lying dormant inside of you, like that big ole’ zit that chooses to pop up whenever you have a special event to go to.  It can take you a very short time to overcome your fears, or you may encounter the same fears continually.  The interesting thing about that is – the choice is yours.

We all battle fear.  Fear of rejection.  Fear of judgment.  Fear of failure.  Fear of success.  Fear simply sucks.

My advice to you is to step into your fear.  How often do we have a task that we need to do and we put it off and put it off – only to find that it grows into a ginormous blob of ugliness?  We finally tackle the task, only to realize it only took us a few minutes?  It was painless.  Overcoming our fear is the same way.

Lets just say you need to pick up the phone and call your girlfriend to book a party for your business.  The phone naturally weighs 100 lbs., right?  You “think” about calling her.  You “plan” to call her.  You even “schedule” the call.  Then you chicken out.  You let your fear win.  What if she says no?  What if she feels obligated?  What if she thinks you’re pushy?  The common thread is you’re making it about YOU!  Do you truly feel you have something special to offer others?  If so, get over yourself and get to work!  Push your ego aside and stop worrying about it and make it happen.

Imagine that your fear is like a big bubble floating over your head.  The more you avoid it, the larger your bubble gets.  It just floats over you, annoying you to the point where it’s all you think about.  Picking up the phone and making that call is essentially “taking a bite” out of fear.  When you take a bite out of it, that bubble shrinks a little.  Every time you pick up the phone thereafter, it continues to shrink.  Before you know it, getting on the phone is no big deal.

So, it’s totally your choice.  You can start today and be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire or continue to live in fear.  You can be a warrior or a worrier.  A doer or a quitter.

I know the warrior is inside of you.  It’s inside of all of us.  I encourage you today to take a hard look at what you’re avoiding and what you’re putting off.  If fear is the culprit, kick fear to the curb.

Be the author of your own success story so one day you can share it with others and inspire them to greatness.  I believe in you.
